UCSDs Office of Government Research Relations supports and promotes UCSDs mission of research, teaching and public service through government advocacy, proactive engagement with our elected officials.

Our staff interact regularly with elected and appointed officials in Washington D.C. and Sacramento, to monitor and influence legislative and agency developments. Under long-standing University of California policies, all official government contact made with government officials by UCSD faculty and staff must be conducted through the Government Research Relations office. This ensures a unified and consistent voice for UCSD, which is essential to the success of our federal and state, government relations.
